There are two systems of belief when it comes to a good watch. The one system considers value in the ability to fit as much bulk, gadgets, detail and hard to find materials into a single watch case. The other system dares a designer to maintain control of their vision. To execute moderation in design, so that a watch only gets what it needs to get the job done.
Enter the two gentlemen behind MVMT, Jake Kassan and Kramer LaPlante. MVMT has been around since 2013, but you couldn’t really tell, considering their classic and modern watches make them appear as if they’ve been serving up masterpieces for decades.
We love their simplistic design, impressive detail, and well-chosen accents. The fact that many of these watches sell for under $100 is simply a bonus as far as we’re concerned. Because it’s not about how loud your watch can scream, but how much respect its message can deliver.
