A Stronger Take on Color from Moranic Pants

Let’s start with the basics – these are not pajama pants. No. Moranic Pants are based out of Kenya and were relevant long before Calvin Klein partnered with wholesale stores to sell long johns. Entrepreneur Irfan Dean has worked with his team of local artisans in Kenya to help produce the pants and open them up to more commercial distribution. “Moranic” originates from the Maasai tribe, a group of nomadic warriors who roam through Kenya and Tanzania. Nobody puts on pajama pants to feel like a warrior. In fact, it’s the total opposite.

Style-wise, these can be tricky to pair up because they’re so bright and expressive. I would recommend similarly light shirts and going for a single color outside the pants. Light fabric is used to combat the heat, and it ripples nicely in the wind. There’s a thin line between brighter colors and a rave; there’s definitely a time and a place to wear these. From the beach to dinner, casual drinks or just a sunny day, they’re a great way to not have your legs burnt to a crisp without overheating.

Overall, I find Moranic pants to be a really nice mix of form and function. It’s rare for me to go for something with such colorful designs, but by keeping it simple, it allows the pants to speak for themselves. You can be amongst the first to have a pair when they’re released by signing up here.
