Concept cars are not always my cup of tea. They are often overdrawn, gaudy, and impractical conversation pieces that leave way too much for the imagination.
However, this FT-1 Graphite Concept by Calty Design, looks like it could leap directly off my screen and into a Toyota manufacturing facility. In fact, I wouldn’t have a single critique that couldn’t be fixed with a reasonable price ($60,000 sounds about right).
The long hood on the FT-1’s front-engine layout is sexy. Its curvaceous body panels are enticing, and its retractable rear wing… well, that is a necessity when you consider the 500 horsepower it would likely have.
Build it.
