From the pages of Playboy.com to Askmen.com, Krystle Lina has become one of the most beautiful and well-spoken professionals in the business of modeling and photography. With that introduction on our minds, we couldn’t wait to hear what she had to say on the topics of success, sexuality, inspiration, dating, and what it would take to be her man.
Urbasm: What would you say has been the key to your success? Do you think success is more about who you know, or how well you know yourself and why?
Krystle Lina: I strongly believe it’s a combination of both. It doesn’t hurt to have proper management, but I will say that I’ve had the most accomplishments on my own. I’m one of those people that believes if you want something done, 99% of the time you have to do it yourself. If you don’t believe in yourself nobody else will.
Urb: What do you find sexy about a woman’s body, and how do you use that inspiration to guide your photography?
KL: I think it’s different for every woman. As an artist who photographs some of LA’s most beautiful women, I usually vibe off of their personalities to get the best shots of their beauty. For the most part, I think it’s all in the eyes.
Urb: Who would you like to photograph most if you had unlimited access to every person who has ever walked this earth (past or present)?
KL: That’s easy, if we are talking time machines are real, and I have the ability to shoot anyone who was ever born? Marilyn Monroe, she was by far one of the most beautiful and interesting women in the world.
Urb: What is your inspiration behind every photo you take, and what kind of legacy do you hope to leave behind with your photos?
KL: Every time I photograph anything, whether it be a beautiful woman, man, child, wedding, or even landscape, I’m hoping it will make you feel something. I want the photos I take to be the kind of photos you stare at for more than a second. That’s when you know something is good, when you can’t stop looking.
Urb: In what way do you find a man’s intellect sexy? Is it his knowledge of wine, history, or something similar? Or is it more about his ability to be sharp witted or good with numbers, or something else entirely?
KL: I’m glad you asked, because there’s nothing I find more attractive than a man’s intelligence, and naturally with intelligence follows confidence. I think every woman wants to feel that a man can take care of her, so to speak–and how is some dumb guy, who’s just worried about his looks, going to take care of anyone but himself? When a man is smart, he’s usually making good choices. Maybe it’s proper investments, or something as simple as paying his bills on time. Does he have good credit? I know that sounds stupid, and it has nothing to do with gold digging, it has everything to do with character.
Most jobs today do credit checks on people before even considering hiring you. Are you punctual? That’s another big one, I can’t stand when men are late all the time, or sleep in til 2pm, unless you have a graveyard shift job, there’s no reason to ever sleep past 8am. I like humor, witty conversations, and believe it or not, politics. If you can hold a conversation with me about what’s going on in the world, and keep me entertained, I’m probably yours.
