The Whisky Sour is as much a drink as you could regard it as a concept.
Sour mixed with alcohol, and garnish.
There’s no shortage on how to do it, and many recipes advise simple syrup, but we’ll tell you the secret to making the perfect whisky sour every time.
2 oz of whisky
1 teaspoon of sugar
3/4 oz of lemon juice
Shake with cracked ice and serve frothy.
Some might say you can also use lime, but we suggest lemon juice.
When making a whisky sour, some will use Jim Beam or Jack Daniels.
We recommend trying Lot No. 40 Canadian Whisky. While some might say that since it’s covered and mixed, you won’t taste any real difference. We disagree.
