The Audioengine A2 desktop speakers were some of the best dedicated computers speakers we’ve heard for around $200. However, for around $50 more, these Audioengine A2+ speakers are even better, featuring some stout 2.75-inch kevlar woofers and 0.75-inch dome-tweeters.
These speakers are particularly effective if you want to upgrade the sound on your multimedia system without actually swapping any internal parts on your device. They accomplish this by converting the signal of your computer’s USB port from digital to analog, and then magnifying everything to the combined peak of 60-watts.
