Some guys would like to think that being a pickup artist is as simple as maintaining a carefully trimmed beard, wearing designer clothing, speaking in poetry, and complimenting their chosen prey with every other word. However, the truth is, most guys are missing a few of the most important points of picking up a decent hookup. First of all, you are probably thinking, but Eric, I want better than just a decent hookup.
Well, that is exactly why you should look at every woman as nothing more than decent. Women like the thrill of the chase, just like us men. When they are given the green light that you are absolutely enamored by their hotness, they will lose interest, and seek a guy who is not as easy to impress. Keep your hands out of your pockets. You may think that you looked laid back and cool, leaning against the bar with your hands resting below your waistline. However, the truth is, you look bored, boring, and not the kind of guy that is going to show her a good time.
Avoid the temptation to buy her a drink as an introduction, regardless of what you’ve seen work in movies. All this accomplishes is opening a relationship that is derived from the sale price of her attention. First of all, this will either be a turn-on or turn-off for her. If you are unlucky, this will excite her, as these types of women understand that they can control a relationship, simply by holding out for what she wants. Do you really want to be that guy who has to buy his girl a new Land Rover every time he wants to get a little nookie? I didn’t think so.
