In 1964, Sports Illustrated took a chance to boost their sales. They pulled together a handful of sexy women, and photographed them in some of the raciest bikini styles for the time. Soon after, the SI poster was born, and these models found themselves featured on the dorm room walls across the world.
Combined, the Sports Illustrated models have covered over one million miles of territory, six continents, and 53 countries. Today, some of the biggest names include Kate Upton, Bar Refaeli, Irina Shayk, Natasha Barnard, Jessica Gomes, and Elisandra Tomacheski. If we could sum up the last few issues in as few words as possible, we’d just say wow.
