Baring any real hand to hand combat, this Iron Man costume looks pretty convincing, considering its glued together with a few hundred LEGO pieces, styrene, foam, wires, resistors, and LED lights. If you considered making this suit a full time job (8 hrs/day), it took Ryan Brooks about five months to complete, and that includes working on the weekends.
The armor is able to collapse down to the size of a briefcase when its bearer is not in the mood to fight crime, and takes less than an hour to jump into with the help of two capable sidekicks. Despite the fact it would most likely not survive a bout with a toaster oven, this is certainly a commendable first effort.
